Covenant

Have you ever entered into a covenant..? A covenant is an agreement or a contract. It is a document that two people enter into to that is enforceable by law. There are all kinds of covenants. You enter into a covenant when you rent an apartment or buy a house. You enter into a covenant when you buy a car or appliances. You even enter into a covenant when you get married… Yes when two people come together in holy matrimony they are entering a covenant that says…”I take you to be my lawfully wedded (wife/husband), to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish; from this day forward until death do us part”. I know in this time that we are living in, the marriage covenant is not honored much anymore, because these vows just seems to be words that are spoken without the responsibility to keep them. It seems as though nobody is faithful, everybody is cheating on each other and the covenant is broken, ultimately the covenant ends in divorce and that family unit is destroyed. God never intended for the marriage covenant or any covenant to be broken. I remember a story in the bible where God made a covenant with Abraham…I Genesis 15 read it when you get a chance…the bible says” that God promised Abraham a son to be his heir and Abraham was a little apprehensive to believe that because he felt that he and his wife was to old to have children… But in spite of his apprehensiveness, Abraham believed God and the bible says that it was counted unto Abraham as righteousness. But why did Abraham believe God, how did he really know that God would deliver… The bible teaches us that God entered into a covenant with Abraham… God Himself entered into a covenant. He asked Abraham to bring offering and set them before the Lord… and the scripture said that a Smoking Fire Pot and a Flaming Torch passed through Abraham’s offering and established an everlasting covenant with him. The Good New in all this is that God’s covenant is still prevalent today… Send an offering to the Lord and believe Him for a covenant in your life… When you offer up a sacrifice to the Lord with expectations your seed becomes your point of contact for your blessing.
